A driver who led police officers on a short car chase crashed into a Metro bus in the Willowbrook area on Monday, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said.
Law enforcement was in pursuit of a suspected DUI driver just after 5 p.m. in the Willowbrook area, according to LASD. During the chase, the driver crashed into a Metro bus near the intersection of Wilmington Avenue and 120th Street.
The vehicle the driver was traveling in sustained major damage to its front and was hauled away by law enforcement. LASD said no injuries were reported in the crash.
The driver, whose name has not been released, was arrested. It’s unclear what charges he may face.
