Man stabbed to death in Sacramento’s McClatchy Park, police say
Yeah, and Deirdre, let me set this scene here for you because the area where the crime scene investigators are focusing their work is in the far back of this park, McClatchy Park along 5th Avenue. If you’re familiar with this, where those vans are, those crime scene investigator vans, they’re just off the right field area of the baseball field. They’re to the left of the play structure. And far behind this community basketball court, it was, uh, the midnight hour sometime around 12:30 this morning when police got *** report of an assault here at the park. By the time they arrived, they found one adult male with *** stab wound, that person dying of that injury. Uh, at this point in time though. The latest update from Sacramento Police Department is the fact that they do not have any suspect information to release at this point. So, uh, the why this happened, the who did the stabbing, that’s all still part of this investigation. I can tell you that moments ago, uh, saw detectives moving from this area of the parking lot behind *** building here near the baseball field. To question an individual in this area. Don’t know if that person may have information about what happened here, but all part of this still evolving investigation going on here at McClatchy Park. Still very active scene as both crime scene investigators and detectives doing their work to try and figure out who is behind *** deadly stabbing that happened here in that midnight hour hours ago live in Sacramento, Mike, KCRA 3 News.

Despite emergency medical aid, the man died on scene. SACRAMENTO, Calif. —
Sacramento police are investigating a deadly stabbing in McClatchy Park early Tuesday morning, officials said.
Officers responded to reports of an assault involving a weapon just before 12:30 a.m. on 5th Avenue and 33rd Street, police said.
They found a man with at least one stab wound, authorities said. Despite emergency medical aid, the man died on scene. Homicide detectives and crime scene investigators were called in to take over the investigation.
There’s currently no suspect information.
