Pedestrian Struck, Killed in Long Beach by Hit-and-Run Driver

LONG BEACH, Calif. (July 14, 2026) – A man was struck and killed in Long Beach on Monday night in a hit-and-run pedestrian accident at Ocean Boulevard and Golden Shore.

It happened around 11:40 p.m. on Monday, July 14th, according to the Long Beach Police Department.

Detectives working on the case reported a driver struck the victim in the roadway and failed to stop.

Long Beach Fire Department firefighters responded, but the man did not survive and was pronounced dead at the scene. The name of the pedestrian has not been released, pending positive identification.

Meanwhile, police are investigating the crash scene and working to locate the suspect.
