A sunken boat involved in a deadly incident in the waters off San Francisco was from Stockton, according to fire officials. San Francisco Fire Lt. Mariano Elias said the vessel is a Volare cabin cruiser and was about three stories high and 50-feet long. The boat is believed to be launched from the Saint Francis Yacht Club in San Francisco. The boat was carrying 20 people before it sank near Alcatraz Island. One person died, three people are missing and 16 others were rescued from the waters near San Francisco. A dog on board also died. Fire officials said the victims were from the Sacramento and Stockton areas, KTVU reported. KCRA 3 has not yet confirmed where the victims are from. All people abroad were participating in some kind of memorial service. Everyone on board were mostly family members and were all adults. People who were rescued were taken to Gashouse Cove Marina, a small craft harbor in San Francisco. Three people were injured after falling from the boat and were taken to the hospital, officials said.
