Huntington Bank plans to close 13 branch locations in Michigan, including several in Macomb and Oakland counties, by the end of summer.
The Columbus, Ohio-based institution said it regularly reviews its distribution network and makes adjustments to make sure it has the “right mix” of branches, ATMs, and digital banking choices to meet customers’ evolving needs.
“This review includes branch openings, renovations and, in some instances, closures and consolidations,” the company said.
“Every branch being consolidated has another Huntington branch within approximately 10 minutes. Our colleagues remain a priority, and we will make efforts to place impacted colleagues in other roles so they can continue serving the customers and communities they know.”
The locations scheduled to close include:

Clinton Township: 19100 Hall Road near Romeo Plank Road
Mount Clemens South: 1310 South Gratiot Avenue, near Harrington Street
Eastpointe: 17011 E. Nine Mile Road near Cushing Avenue
Oakland County
Brown Baldwin: 4983 S Baldwin Road, Lake Orion
Royal Oak Crooks Road: 1811 Crooks Road
Woodward Corners: 30955 Woodward Avenue, Royal Oak
Troy West: 2301 W. Big Beaver Road

A company spokesperson said the majority of branches will be consolidated in late August, while the Troy West branch will be closed in early November and Traverse City in mid-November.
