FRESNO, Calif. (FOX26) — A person and a deputy were both sent to the hospital after a deputy-involved shooting Tuesday night.

A Fresno County deputy responded to a call of a home invasion at a home in the area of Olive and Cornelia.

Shortly after the deputy arrived, it was reported that another incident had occurred near Roosevelt Elementary School.

According to the investigation, a white van was seen at both locations, and the description of the suspect was the same.

The deputy got into an altercation with the suspect, which led the deputy to fire three shots at the suspect.
