BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — A body was recovered Wednesday morning after reports of a person drowning at Hart Park’s duck pond the night before.
The Kern County Sheriff’s Office said on Tuesday, July 14, at around 6 p.m., KCSO received reports of a person in distress at Hart Park in the duck pond.
Park Rangers and deputies responded.
KCSO said it was reported that the person drowned.
Search and Rescue was called out to the scene and conducted a search.
According to KCSO, Search and Rescue continued their search early Wednesday morning and the person was recovered around 9 a.m.
