Whether you’re visiting the City of Angels or a local looking to play tourist, L.A. is home to some of the most viral food spots, and while many are not, some of them are truly worth the lines and are deserving of all the hype.
Main Squeeze Smoothies – 2727 Main St, Santa Monica
If you haven’t seen videos of unsuspecting smoothie-lovers waiting in hours-long lines for Main Squeeze’s smoothies and juices, do you even have a TikTok? Main Squeeze gained fame on social media for its overflowing, creamy smoothies and deliciously organic ingredients that rival all the other viral spots. Check out the Strawberry Fields Forever or Matcha Me Call It smoothies the next time you find yourself craving a post-beach summer treat.
Pop Up Bagels – 11710 San Vicente Blvd, Brentwood
Hailing straight from the East Coast and famous for their rip and dip bagels, Pop Up definitely lives up to its social media hype. Since its opening in Brentwood in December, the lines have died down, but the flavors have not. Check out their website each week to see their rotating menu of cream cheese and butter to make your perfect bagel.

This Jordanian shawarma pop-up has taken TikTok by storm for its innovative twist on a classic dish. With lines down the block, this spot is definitely worth the hype. Chef Yazeed Soudani quit his job in finance to pursue his dream of creating his own shawarma recipe, and since 2023, he has made a name for himself, being featured at Smorgasburg LA and appearing at various food festivals and pop-ups across the city. If you don’t have a chance to stop by the pop-up on Fridays and Saturdays, keep an eye out for Miya Miya’s first restaurant opening later this year.

If you’re looking for a delicious sweet treat after trying anything on this list, check out Millet Crepe to try the viral Japanese brûlée crepes! This is truly a choose-your-own-adventure experience, with the option to fill your crepe with custard, ice cream, fruit, or yummy sauces. Each crepe is finished with a deliciously crispy brûlée top, for a decadent dessert that combines cuisines from France to Japan.

First gaining traction for its drinks, featuring ceremonial grade matcha and house-made sweeteners, and now for its miso caesar wrap, Faregrounds has the whole package. On your next Beverly Hills day, order the viral miso caesar wrap or one of the salads, and wash it down with the Salted Maple Cream Latte or Banana Cream Matcha.
Max & Helen’s – 127 N Larchmont Blvd, Larchmont
Since its opening in November, Max & Helen’s has cemented itself as an L.A. staple for its nostalgic vibes and elevated takes on diner classics. A perfect meal at Max & Helen’s includes blueberry pancakes, waffles with maple butter, Larchmont slam and a tuna melt. If you’re planning to go on a weekend, arrive early to put your name down and take a walk through Larchmont Village while you wait.

As its social media fame increases, a new location seems to pop up on every corner. With a simple and affordable menu, the WinDow is a great spot to grab a quick bite.
