(FOX40.COM) — The Sacramento County Coroner’s Office has identified the man who died in a hit-and-run crash on Sunday evening as Bee Lao, 46, of Sacramento.

At around 6:30 p.m., the Sacramento Police Department said one person had died after being struck by a vehicle between the intersection of Del Paso and Marysville Boulevard in Sacramento.
Police said that when the officer arrived at the scene, they found a pedestrian who was lying in the roadway. Lao was pronounced dead at the scene.

Lao’s wife, Stella Xiong shared on a GoFundMe page created to cover funeral costs and living expenses that her husband left behind four daughters, ages 5 to 14 and one son, who is only 2 years old.
“Bee Lao was a loving person who was always welcoming to everyone,” Xiong said.
