2026-2027 schedule announced by NHL and the L.A. Kings.

The Los Angeles Kings and National Hockey League (NHL) have announced the club’s 84-game 2026-2027 season schedule. The start of the season will begin on Wednesday, September 30 at 8 p.m. MT, visiting the Colorado Avalanche hockey team at Ball Arena.

The Kings will play their home opener on Tuesday, October 6, when they host the Florida Panthers at 7:30 p.m. at Crypto.com Arena.

The L.A. Kings will play five of their 12 October games in downtown Los Angeles, including a matchup against Pacific Division rival Edmonton Oilers on Tuesday, October 13. The team will also face 10 back-to-back game situations throughout the upcoming season, including a home-and-home series against their Freeway rival, the Anaheim Ducks. The series begins Friday, November 27, at Honda Center and continues Saturday, November 28, at Crypto.com Arena.

As the season progresses, the Kings will benefit from several extended stretches at home. Los Angeles will have two extended stretches on home ice this season, with a pair of seven-game homestands scheduled from October 29 through November 14 and December 30, 2026, through January 13, 2027.

The schedule will also challenge the Kings on the road with the team’s longest trip away from home coming later in the season. The Kings embark on a seven-game road stretch featuring stops in Nashville, Florida, Tampa Bay, Philadelphia, Carolina, Dallas, and St. Louis from January 23 through February 9.

Along with the demanding stretches of the schedule, the Kings will face several high-profile opponents throughout the season. The Kings will host the Vegas Golden Knights on December 1 and April 8. The Kings will also face the defending Stanley Cup champion Carolina Hurricanes on March 18 and host NHL career goals leader Alex Ovechkin on January 6.
