California dairy company set to break ground on Longview facility Monday

  • July 18, 2026

LONGVIEW, Texas (KLTV) – A California company has filed records with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation to begin construction on a $76 million dairy facility estimated to bring 150 jobs to Longview.

Ninth Avenue Foods is a fourth-generation, family-owned dairy and beverage company with more than 50 years of experience, according to the company’s website.

With facilities in California and Indiana, the company plans to build its third manufacturing plant at 5921 Lou Galosy Way in Longview, with construction scheduled to begin Monday, according to the filing.

The Longview Economic Development Corporation (LEDCO) board of directors voted to approve a performance agreement to bring the company to Longview in October.

LEDCO CEO Wayne Mansfield said several other Texas cities were being considered, but the corporation settled on Longview in part because of the water supply.

The plant is expected to be 288,786 square feet and fully constructed by Nov. 1, 2027, according to the filing.
