A Sausalito resident was injured Friday in a fire at a hillside home, the Southern Marin Fire District reported.
The fire happened at about 5:20 a.m. on Wray Avenue. The fire burned on the top floor of a three-level downslope residence, the district said.
Firefighters removed one resident from the home. Southern Marin Fire District paramedics treated the resident there before taking the patient to a hospital. Other residents got out of the home without injuries.
Firefighters had the flames under control by about 5:33 a.m., containing the fire to the area it started, the district said. Battalion Chief Adam Vollmer said the fire started in a wall under a kitchen counter.
The cause is under investigation.
