Officers seized roughly 2,200 pounds of meth during a recent drug bust in Anaheim, the Anaheim Police Department announced Sunday.
The Anaheim Police Department called the bust “significant,” and said the drugs were discovered before they could reach the local streets. According to previous reports, the amount of meth seized is potentially worth millions of dollars.
“During an ongoing narcotics investigation, APD narcotics investigators conducted surveillance that led to two traffic stops and ultimately a search warrant at a residence,” APD said. “… Our Narcotics Unit, K9 Unit, and patrol officers worked together throughout the operation, keeping a massive amount of dangerous drugs from reaching our communities.”

A photo of the bust shows hundreds of bags of meth stored in cardboard boxes. Police did not say if any arrests were made in connection to the bust.
Last month, more than 800 pounds of meth was seized during a drug bust in Palmdale.
