1 dead, 1 injured after shooting in east Bakersfield: KCSO

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — One person is dead and another is wounded after a shooting in east Bakersfield Saturday night.

The shooting was reported in the 800 block of Crane Street around 7:30 p.m., according to the Kern County Sheriff’s Office.

At the time of the shooting, a large deputy presence was seen in the area of Crane Street and Pioneer Drive.

One of the victims was pronounced dead at the scene and the wounded victim is in stable condition, according to the sheriff’s office.

Sheriff’s officials said there are no arrests at this time.
