KSEE24 Sunrise is inviting Fresno County residents to help showcase the region through a new community initiative designed to highlight local businesses, attractions and neighborhoods.
The station’s recently launched “Mug Monday” campaign encourages viewers to take a KSEE24 Sunrise coffee mug with them as they explore Fresno County, photographing it at local restaurants, coffee shops, parks, community events, landmarks and other favorite destinations before submitting the images to the station.
Each Monday, KSEE Sunrise anchors will feature viewer-submitted photos on-air and online, sharing the stories behind the locations and experiences while highlighting places that make Fresno County unique.
Inspired by NBC’s Sunday TODAY with Willie Geist and its “Mug Shots” segment, the initiative was developed in partnership with Visit Fresno County.
“We loved the concept and thought, why not do something similar right here in Fresno County?” said Matt Morse, KSEE24 vice president and general manager. “Too often, Fresno makes headlines for the wrong reasons. Mug Monday is about telling a different story — one told by the people who live here and love this community.”
The campaign launched with a public mug giveaway at River Park. Geist also recorded a custom promotion supporting the initiative, encouraging residents to explore Fresno County and share the places they enjoy most.
