Sometimes just going to get coffee isn’t enough. Luckily, Los Angeles has plenty of shops to get your caffeine fix while enjoying a little something extra.

Whether it’s a solo date or a fun day out with friends, there’s a good chance getting coffee is a part of the plan. However, everyone in L.A. knows how difficult it is to find parking, especially if you’re just picking up a quick drink. Next time, instead of putting your hazards on and quickly running inside, check out these coffee shops that offer a fun additional activity.

Maru Coffee – Arts District location

1019 S Santa Fe Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90021

Arguably some of the best matcha in the City can be found at Maru. While there is another location in Los Feliz, the Arts District location has a secret designer clothing store tucked behind an unassuming white wall.

DPTO ANNEX, a high-end menswear store—with some cute unisex pieces too—offers off-season collections of what they carry at their flagship store. Although there are some higher prices, the unique design of the store is worth the visit in and of itself. While you wait for your grass-green matcha or carefully crafted latte cream top coffee, check out the unique architecture and beautiful one-of-a-kind designerware.

Established Today

7707 Melrose Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90046

A standard day off may include grabbing coffee, looking through records and vintage shopping, but chances are you’re driving across the City to hit all three locations. At Established Today, you can do all three.

Known for their minimalist ’70s-inspired ambiance, Established Today has records for sale up front and a quaint pop-up shop in the back. And if that’s not enough for you, Established Today hosts DJ events where you can lounge around, grab a coffee and chat with friends while listening to some wax.

Supersweet Tattoos and Coffee

1345-1347, Glendale Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90026

If you’d rather spend your money on some new ink, Supersweet Tattoos & Coffee should be on your list. The unlikely pairing is L.A.’s first tattoo and coffee shop and consists of a women-forward staff to make sure you have the most comfortable (and cute!) tattoo experience.

Even if you don’t plan on getting inked up, you can enjoy the pastel lounging area with a strong cup of joe. They accept walk-ins as well as free consultation appointments, and also offer microblading and permanent makeup perfect for a self-care day.

Noun coffee + wine

4065 Glencoe Ave #100, Marina del Rey, California 90292

The best of both worlds can be found at Noun coffee + wine. Just as their name describes, the cute daytime cafe offers a bubbly experience at night, meaning you might just have to return after sundown.

Noun coffee + wine has received just as much social media attention for their food menu as they do for their coffee and matcha selection, so do come hungry. If natural wines, sake and beer are more your vibe, wait until the weekend when the chic cafe turns into an equally chic bar. Noun coffee + wine hosts several events such as game nights, listening parties and guest chef tasting menus, perfect for a night, or day, out.
