According to the arrest record, Kumar was caught hauling 10 pallets of stolen Tungsten Oxide Powder.

The powder, which is used in armor-piercing rounds, ceramics, lasers, optical products, and high-tech windows, belonged to Mitsubishi Materials Corporation and was slated for a June 24 pickup.

The pickup was delayed a day, and everything seemed to be going smoothly, until Friday, June 26, when an employee said they could no longer get a hold of the driver.

The truck was spotted by a Flock camera on June 27. Inside, officers found Kumar, who they say provided three forms of identification: an invalid work visa, a fraudulent New York State License, and a valid California driver’s license.

He was arrested for theft and later transferred to McFarland, California, where he remains in ICE custody.
