The West Coast Hoops Showdown will be the seventh-straight time GU and UCLA will play each other. Two of those seven matchups came in the NCAA Tournament.

Gonzaga has an 8-3 record against UCLA all time, but as Zags and UCLA fans know, the matchups tend to come down to the wire.

“Anytime Gonzaga and UCLA get together, it’s a great opportunity for college basketball,” Gonzaga Head Coach Mark Few said. “Mick Cronin has done an outstanding job with their program, and we have tremendous respect for the way his teams compete. We’ve shared some unforgettable games over the years, and this is another exciting matchup. We’re looking forward to playing in front of so many Gonzaga fans in Southern California, and we know they’ll create a great atmosphere.”

Heading to its first season as a member of the PAC-12, Gonzaga now has a nonconference schedule that features UCLA, Michigan State, Purdue, Duke and LSU.
