SFMTA approves parking, transit improvements in SF Chinatown – NBC Bay Area

More parking and transit improvements are coming to San Francisco’s Chinatown after transit leaders approved a series of changes.

The improvements include adding more curbside parking near Portsmouth Square along Clay and Sacramento streets.

The project will also add a new 24-hour transit-only center lane, primarily for Muni’s 1-California line.

Construction is expected to begin before the end of the summer.
