BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — A new residence for underprivileged children has stirred controversy for residents in the Goodmanville and Meadows of the Kern neighborhoods of Bakersfield.
The residents there are protesting the conversion of a six-bedroom, million dollar, fresh off the market home being turned into a home for teens. EA Family Services recently purchased the property and hope to open the home for disadvantaged youth soon.
