Oakland Township crash results in one death, two other people in critical condition

OAKLAND COUNTY, Mich. – One person is dead and two others were critically injured in an early morning crash in Oakland Township.

The crash happened shortly after 5:45 a.m. on Rochester Road near Buell Road.

Police say a Ford Escape driven by a 65-year-old Rochester Hills man crossed the center lane and hit a Subaru Outback head-on.

The man died from his injuries on scene.

The occupants of the Subaru, a 49-year-old woman from Imlay City and a 56-year-old woman from Almont have both been listed in critical condition at a local hospital.

While the official cause of death remains pending, investigators do not believe the crash was the result of a medical emergency. – Oakland County Sheriff’s Office
