BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — While summer is still underway, some Kern County students are already heading back to class.
The Lamont School District kicked off the new school year this morning. Parents said their children are excited to be back.
The principal at Mountain View Middle School encouraged families to check in with students and ask how their first day went.
More local districts are set to return soon. On Monday, the Delano Union School District starts classes. The Bakersfield City and Kern High School districts don’t go back until August 12.
