2026 Candidate Interview: Melanie Macey for State Representative District 6

Berkley, Birmingham, Bloomfield Township, Huntington Woods, Royal Oak, and Southfield, MI  – In the race for State Representative in the 6th District there are three Democrats and one Republican on the Aug. 4 Primary ballot.  The Democratic candidates are Charlie Gandy-Thompson, David Lauer, and Melanie Macey.  The Republican candidate is Mike Steger.

Michigan House of Representatives District 6 includes the Oakland County cities of Berkley, Huntington Woods, and portions of Birmingham, Royal Oak, and Southfield, as well as Bloomfield Township.

The position has a two-year term.
