CREEK COUNTY, Okla. — The Oklahoma Highway Patrol said a 63-year-old man from California is dead after a crash in Creek County on Sunday.
Around 4:24 a.m., Paul Schultz from San Diego, California was a passenger in a vehicle traveling eastbound on I-44. The vehicle veered off the interstate, crashing into another vehicle parked on the right shoulder.
The parked vehicle rolled and landed partially on the interstate, OHP said.
OHP said Schultz was pronounced dead by medical personnel. The driver of the vehicle Schultz was riding in was injured during the crash.
The driver of the parked vehicle was not injured.
