“Southern California, and for that matter most of the West, continues to roast under temperatures that are 5-10 degrees above normal and abnormally high humidities due to ocean temperatures that are also 4-8 degrees above normal,” according to the forecast discussion.
While Los Angeles is expected to get a more temperate break mid-week, when highs are predicted to be in the 80s, scorching temperatures in the mid-90s are in the forecast for Saturday, according to the service.
