Today we’d like to introduce you to Mary Amber.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
When I was 19, I made one of the biggest decisions of my life and moved to South Korea from Ukraine and was working as a model for 5 years there. It was there that I discovered my passion for fashion. Fashion is a big part of my life and I try to look stunning every single day no matter how small the task is when I go out whether it’s going to a movie or getting groceries. Fashion makes me feel confident and I express myself through it
Living in Korea also sparked my love for languages and different cultures. I became fluent in Korean, continued improving my English, and spent time learning Japanese, and Chinese. Those years taught me how to adapt, stay curious, and embrace new experiences.
During that time, I also discovered another passion: acting. I had the chance to appear in several short films and independent projects in Korea. Ever since then, becoming an actress has been one of my biggest dreams, and it’s a path I’m excited to continue pursuing.
Today, I’m based in LA, where I continue working with brands as a model and content creator while taking the next steps toward building my acting career.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. Moving to Korea at 19 without knowing the language or anyone there was both exciting and overwhelming. I had to adapt to a completely new culture while building my modeling career from scratch. Later, moving to the U.S. meant starting over all over again—leaving behind the career and connections I had built in Korea to pursue even bigger dreams.
Like many people in creative industries, I’ve also experienced rejection and uncertainty. There have been moments when opportunities didn’t work out, plans changed. But I’ve learned that every challenge has helped me become more resilient and more confident in myself.
Looking back, those experiences taught me to be adaptable, stay patient, and keep moving forward even when things don’t go as planned. I truly believe that growth comes from stepping outside your comfort zone, and every obstacle has brought me one step closer to the life and career I’m working toward.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I worked as model for Samsung, Armani, and had a huge banner of mine in the most famous streets in Korea – Gangnam. I achieved nearly 2 million followers over my social medias with showing my fashion style to the world.
Alright, so to wrap up, is there anything else you’d like to share with us?
My journey has always been about having the courage to dream bigger and continuously challenge myself. Moving to different countries, building a career from the ground up, and stepping into new industries has taught me that growth comes from embracing change and believing in yourself.
I hope to inspire others to pursue their goals, even when the path feels uncertain. Whether through fashion, acting, or creating content, my goal is to continue telling stories, connecting with people, and using my experiences to motivate others to follow their own dreams.
