Sacramento County woman identified as body pulled from Bay Area boat sinking tragedy
A third person was identified Monday in the July 14 Volare boat sinking tragedy, where three people died, one person is still missing, and several people were rescued from the San Francisco Bay.

The San Francisco Office of the Chief Medical Examiner confirmed 74-year-old Carol Boisa was the third body pulled from the water after a boat capsized near Alcatraz Island.
Marine crews with the San Francisco Police Department found Carol Boisa’s body near the area of Point Diablo, west of the Golden Gate Bridge, around 10 a.m. Monday. Boat-mounted sonar equipment was used to find the vessel, which came from Stockton and was carrying 20 people at the time.
As of July 27, the bodies of three people have been recovered; 16 others have been rescued, and a dog on board died. The people on board were taking part in a memorial service to scatter the ashes of Maria Vi Boisa, a Santa Cruz County woman who died in 2015.
Clifford Joseph Boisa, 79, of Sutter County, was the first confirmed death. The Sutter County Sheriff’s Office said he was a retired reserve deputy who served from 1987 to 2001.
Officials identified 58-year-old Tondra Madruga of Folsom as the second victim days after the boat sank.

Clifford’s sister, Jackie Boisa, is still missing but is presumed dead. Officials soon after the sinking stated that rescue efforts had turned into a recovery mission.
The Volare cabin cruiser was about three stories high and 50 feet long. It is believed to have been launched from the Saint Francis Yacht Club in San Francisco.
