Two men were killed in a solo-vehicle crash in the Winnetka area early Tuesday.
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, a BMW sedan was travelling at a high rate of speed headed westbound on Parthenia Street when they lost control and crashed into a light pole at the intersection of Sunnybrae Avenue and Parthenia.
The passenger died at the scene, LAPD said, and the driver was extricated from the vehicle and taken to a local hospital. The driver was later pronounced dead.
Both men were described to be in their 20s.
Drugs and alcohol were not suspected to be factors in the crash.
No other vehicles were involved in the incident.
