The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County was unchanged Wednesday for the second consecutive day following a 13-day streak of increases totaling 29.6 cents, remaining at $5.701.
The average price is 10.9 cents more than one week ago, 24.2 cents higher than one month ago and $1.236 greater than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It has increased $1.007 since the start of the joint U.S./Israel attack on Iran on Feb. 28, which sent oil prices higher and drastically accelerated increases at the gas pump.
The 15-day streak of increases to the Orange County average price totaling 35 cents ended when it was unchnaged, remaining at $5.649. It is 11 cents more than one week ago, 31.3 cents higher than one month ago and $1.244 greater than one year ago.
The Orange County average price has increased $1.013 since the attack on Iran.
The national average price dropped for the third time in four days following an 11-day streak of increases totaling 25.2 cents, decreasing eight-tenths of a cent to $4.091. It is 3.1 cents more than one week ago, 23.1 cents higher than one month ago and 95.4 cents greater than one year ago.
The national average price has increased $1.109 since the attack on Iran. It dropped one-tenth of a cent Sunday, was unchanged Monday and decreased 1.1 cents Tuesday.
