BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — Earth Day 661 is bringing the community together for “wheels, Words and Wags” in collaboration with Children First and Frosty Fun Wagon.
The event is taking place on Saturday, August 6, from 9 a.m. to noon at David Nelson Pocket Park on Niles Street.
The free, family friendly event hopes to encourage community literacy and bike safety.
Families can enjoy an interactive story walk, bike helmet decorating, and even adopt a shelter pet during the event.
