SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. — It was Law Enforcement Appreciation Night at Oracle Park last night and members of the Redding Police Department attended to watch the San Francisco Giants take on the Milwaukee Brewers.

Much like officers protect their community, the Giants protected an early 3-0 lead through the final out.

The department issued the following statement after the event:

“It was a privilege to stand alongside law enforcement officers from agencies across California while representing our department and community. Events like this highlight the partnerships, professionalism and shared commitment among officers dedicated to serving and protecting their communities,” said RPD in a press release.

We sincerely thank the San Francisco Giants for recognizing the dedication and sacrifice of law enforcement officers and for hosting such a memorable evening. We are proud to represent the City of Redding both on the road and on the field.

The pregame ceremony honored law enforcement officers and their families with a color guard, a California Highway Patrol flyover, a fireboat salute and a motorcade of about 175 motorcycles, while also recognizing three fallen officers and welcoming their children onto the field.
