EUGENE, Ore. — A Eugene man who went missing on Wednesday was found Thursday afternoon in Ukiah, California.
Family members of 79-year-old Paul Ralph McGill, who have been searching for McGill, were notified by the Ukiah Police Department that he was found at a gas station in town.
“They are holding him there, and then they’ve asked for services to come in to support him based on his mental and physical well-being,” said McGill’s nephew, Larry Pegas, “and then we’re en route to Ukiah.”
McGill went missing Wednesday after last being seen at Jerry’s in Springfield.
When he did not come home his family filed a missing person’s report.
Later in the day a charge on McGill’s card was made in Canyonville, then later in Medford he was spotted by automated license plate reader (ALPR).

Thursday morning, he was spotted in Willits, Calif., by another ALPR and found around 30 miles south of the town around 3 p.m.
McGill’s family is currently on the way to pick McGill up.
