PLYMOUTH, Wis. (WBAY) – Family-owned Sargento Foods, based in Sheboygan County, is acquiring La Terra Fina, a California-based maker of premium dairy-based dips, spreads and quiches.
La Terra Fina was founded in 1983 and has about 250 employees in the Bay Area.
The acquisition will let Sargento expand its product line and get into grocers’ deli departments nationwide.
The sale is expected to go through in September. Both companies are private, so no financial details will be announced.
