THE SACRAMENTO COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE RIGHT THERE ALONG RIVER ROAD. IT IS CLOSED RIGHT NOW TO TRAFFIC BECAUSE OF THIS INVESTIGATION THAT THEY HAVE. THAT’S PRETTY MUCH THAT TRAILER IS ALMOST TAKING UP BOTH OF THE LANES THERE. AUTHORITIES BELIEVE THE SKELETAL REMAINS ARE INDEED HUMAN. THEY SAY A RECLAMATION DISTRICT EMPLOYEE DISCOVERED IT EARLIER TODAY. AND SO THEY WANT YOU TO AVOID RIVER ROAD. THIS IS REALLY CLOSE TO THE STEAMBOAT SLOUGH BRIDGE AND THE STEAMBOAT LANDING BAR AND GRILL. Reclamation District employees made a grim discovery on Thursday when they found skeletal remains along the Sacramento River, according to the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office.Officials said the remains are believed to be human.The sheriff’s office said the employees found the remains around 11 a.m. near where the Steamboat Slough meets the Sacramento River in Courtland. Reclamation District employees made a grim discovery on Thursday when they found skeletal remains along the Sacramento River, according to the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office.
Officials said the remains are believed to be human.
The sheriff’s office said the employees found the remains around 11 a.m. near where the Steamboat Slough meets the Sacramento River in Courtland.
