(KRON) — Alameda County District Attorney Ursula Jones Dickson said felony charges were filed Friday against an 18-year-old suspect tied to the violent robbery of a 15-year-old, who was “beaten with handguns” during the June assault.
Jaeden Roach has been charged with assault with a firearm, robbery, and felony child endangerment, according to the DA’s office.
The incident happened at 3:15 p.m. on June 25 in the 3400 block of 68th Avenue.
Investigators said Roach was one of five suspects who hid behind an apartment building and waited for the victim to arrive.
“At that point, the victim was allegedly attacked and beaten with handguns by the defendant and his co-participants, causing serious injuries,” said the DA’s office in a news release.
Roach’s next court appearance is a plea hearing on Aug. 3.
