Sacramento stabbing suspect arrested after a barricade situation
SACRAMENTO, Calif. —
A man suspected of stabbing a woman was arrested following a barricade situation early Saturday, Sacramento police said.
Police said officers responded to a stabbing report before 12:34 a.m. in the 1100 block of 9th Street, and found a woman with minor injuries. She was taken to a hospital.
Police said they began looking for a named suspect in the building and found him barricaded in his apartment.
After several hours of attempting to get him to surrender, officers forced entry into the apartment at 4:45 a.m. and took him into custody.
He was taken to a hospital after being bitten by another agency’s K-9 during the apprehension, police said.
Police said he was in the process of being booked into jail.
