Bakersfield police seek to identify a woman who removed and fled with a piece of the Mechanics Bank sign at 5151 Stockdale Highway on July 24.
The suspect in the grand theft was described by police as a Black woman in her 40s with a thin build who was wearing a red Bulls jersey and a white cover shirt. She is believed to be transient, BPD reported.
