SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) — The family of a man killed while working at San Francisco International Airport back in January is now reportedly suing the city and county of San Francisco and his employer.

Twenty-eight-year-old John Brandon Lacayanga was working for the Dubai National Air Travel Agency at SFO when he was crushed by a cargo pallet he was towing.

According to the San Francisco Chronicle, the new lawsuit alleges his death was “not a freak accident.”

His family claims San Francisco has failed to maintain airport roadways and that his employer assigned him inadequate and unsafe equipment.
