Sacramento Zoo to close early Aug. 1-3 because of excessive heat

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — The Sacramento Zoo said it will close early at 2 p.m. on Aug. 1, 2 and 3 because of excessive heat.

The zoo is offering ticket exchanges or refunds to guests who already purchased tickets for those days. Visitors can call the zoo at (916) 808-5888 for assistance.

The early closures come amid extreme heat affecting the Sacramento area.
