Crews in Foster City were battling a four-alarm fire at an apartment building on Sunday.
The Foster City Police Department said the fire was at 815 Sea Spray Lane and noted that San Mateo Consolidated Fire and other agencies responded to the blaze.
Foster City police said residents of the building were safely evacuated. No residents were injured, but officials said two firefighters suffered smoke inhalation injuries, with one requiring hospitalization.
Red Cross personnel were on scene to work with residents who may be displaced or in need of assistance, officials said.
The cause of the fire is not known at this time.
