Re “Leaders clash over park restrooms” (July 28): San Diego must reopen the restrooms before Mission Bay smells like urine.
Who benefits the most from tourism? Hotels, motels, Airbnbs, restaurants, right? And yet we can’t find a few dollars from each of them, say, $1 per patron, to open the restrooms at Mission Bay? Or isn’t there a millionaire/billionaire around who could donate the money for a small tax deduction?
I’m 74 and will avoid the beaches because I can’t walk a mile to urinate.
Open the restrooms before the park becomes unusable due to the smell of public urination.
