Cats given oxygen and water by fire crews during south Bakersfield house fire response

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — Several cats were given oxygen and water as fire crews worked on a house fire in south Bakersfield Sunday night.

An Eyewitness News crew was at the scene near Castro Lane and Ming Avenue.

Crews were seen giving water and oxygen to two cats.

A person who knows the homeowner told Eyewitness News he plans to house the cats.
