BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — A vegetation fire has temporarily closed at least one lane and an offramp on eastbound Highway 58 at Fairfax Road on Tuesday afternoon, according to CHP and Caltrans.
At around 2:18 p.m., two fires were reported in the area. Flames were reported near the highway lanes, and traffic is delayed. Fire crews are on scene.
CHP stopped cars on Highway 58 near Martin Luther King Jr Boulevard.
The offramp to Weedpatch Highway is closed at this time. The number three lane is also shut down on Weedpatch Highway.
