Start hunting for your yellow shirts and dresses and get ready for this year’s Annual Lemon Festival! Returning to Downtown Chula Vista on Saturday, Aug. 15, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., the popular event will once again transform Third Avenue into a citrus-filled celebration.
Attendees can explore more than 200 vendors, enjoy lemon-inspired food and drinks, visit arts and crafts booths, check out a lemon cook-off competition and take in live entertainment on music stages throughout the day.
Families can also enjoy activities in the kids zone, themed photo opportunities and other festival attractions celebrating Chula Vista’s citrus legacy.
The event pays tribute to the city’s agricultural roots. Once known as the “Lemon Capital of the World,” Chula Vista was home to sprawling lemon groves that helped shape the community’s identity.
While the orchards have largely disappeared, the annual Lemon Festival keeps that history alive, bringing residents and visitors together for one of the city’s signature summer traditions.
