BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — The Kern County Coroner’s Office has identified a man who was found dead in a canal near the Buena Vista Golf Course as 50-year-old Jonathan Philip Roberts of Bakersfield.
The coroner’s report said Roberts was found on August 4, at around 8:06 p.m., in the water canal on Golf Course Road and Mifflin Lane in Taft.
The report said he died at the scene. An autopsy will be conducted to determine the cause and manner of death.
