BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — One person was arrested after a report of an assault with a deadly weapon on Knotts Street Thursday morning.

The Kern County Sheriff’s Office said on Thursday, August 6, 2026, deputies were investigating a report of an assault with a deadly weapon in the 1000 block of Knotts Street.

An alley near Knotts Street and Gage Street was taped off.

KCSO said one person, 42-year-old Nelida Hernandez, was arrested.
