Heroes game: The 11th annual Poway Heroes Softball Game will start at 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 7 at Sportsplex USA Poway, 12349 Mclevers Court. Pre-game ceremonies start at 6:40 p.m. The game will feature the Poway Padres playing alongside members of the Poway Sheriff’s Station and the Poway Fire Department, with Mayor Steve Vaus and Poway City Council members serving as umpires. Tickets sold at the gate are $3, which can be redeemed for a $3 concession item during the game. There will also be opportunity drawings and a silent auction.
