Are you looking to build your talent pipeline, give back to the community, and inspire the next generation? The Alhambra Unified School District (AUSD) is seeking local partners to support its Career Technical Education (CTE) students.
By Melanie Hooks
AUSD is looking for local businesses and organizations willing to provide internships, job-shadowing, and work-based learning opportunities for CTE students.
Internships give students hands-on workplace experience through short- or long-term projects. Job shadowing allows students to observe daily operations and gain insight into what a “day in the life” is like in a particular career.
Local partners can also support students by sharing their career journeys, providing industry insights, and discussing essential workplace skills. Businesses may also offer workplace tours and field trips, giving students a behind-the-scenes look at their facilities, operations, and workplace culture.
Another opportunity to get involved is by serving on an advisory committee. Partners can share feedback on AUSD’s curriculum and provide valuable industry perspectives to help strengthen CTE programs and support student success.
