About the Aftershock Festival
Aftershock began in 2012 as a single-day metal and rock event with headliners Stone Temple Pilots and Deftones. It expanded into a larger and larger music festival over the years, featuring some of the biggest hits of the heavy music scene, including System of a Down, Metallica, Iron Maiden, Slipknot, and Mötley Crüe.
These days, Aftershock is considered the largest rock and metal festival on the West Coast. Last year’s festival drew over 160,000 people, resulting in $30 million in local impact for the city of Sacramento.
