Starting Friday hundreds of restaurants across L.A. will be participating in Dine L.A., with preset menus and prices that are not to be missed
Dine L.A. Restaurant Week kicks off this Friday, with restaurants across Los Angeles offering special menus and set prices starting as low as $15 through Aug. 28. Make the most of the deals and try out some new spots while prices are low and the plates are hot. For Angelenos who want to take the opportunity to try a wide variety of cuisines that shape the L.A. culinary landscape, here are some of the most affordable deals.
For breakfast, visit Hilltop Coffee + Kitchen. Hilltop is participating in Dine L.A. at their Downtown, Eagle Rock, Inglewood and Slauson locations. From 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. every day, you can get a “bangin’” breakfast sandwich with a fried egg, cheddar cheese, bacon and spicy mayo on a brioche bun with a side of tater tots for $15.

At Homegirl in Downtown, from 7 a.m to 11 a.m you can get a breakfast burrito with egg, potatoes, shredded cheese, salsa and your choice of veggies or protein for $15. From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., try one of their burritos for lunch — the Cali steak asada, el césar or the chile relleno. The cafe’s mission is to do more than just plate up delicious food, they also provide training and support to formerly incarcerated individuals.
At Le Shrimp Noodle Bar in Glendale, enjoy a starter and main course for $15. Choose an appetizer of chilled tofu, braised beancurd, pickled cucumbers or crispy vegetable spring rolls. For an entrée, try their signature trio shrimp noodle prawn which comes with a prawn and chicken wonton, ebiko prawn ball, cucumber, green onion, fried garlic, topped with fried shallots.

Hollywood Noodle House in Arcadia has lunch options at $15 and an expanded dinner menu at $25. From 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. the lunch set will include a choice of a starter of chicken satay, fish cake, gold bags or the soup of the day. Entrées include your choice of mixed fruit Thai salad, spicy glass noodle salad or spicy basil ground chicken with jasmine rice. For dessert, try their Thai shaved ice.
For dessert in Culver City, visit Lei’d Cookies where you can get seven mini cookies for $15. Try one of each available flavor: Hawaiian, snickerdoodle (which is gluten-free and vegan), Fruity Pebble, brown butter chocolate chip, strawberry matcha, Mayan and guava goat cheese. For $25, you can get seven cookies and four scoops of ice cream from Sad Girl Creamery.
Delicious at the Dunbar serves soul food in Downtown. Lunch is $15 per person and is served from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Monday through Sunday. The Dine L.A. deal is available for dine-in or take-out orders and includes your choice of entrée of creole beef spaghetti, fried chicken, fried fish, bacon cheese burger or caesar chicken salad.

Visit Descanso in Mid-Wilshire for lunch at $15, an expanded brunch menu at $25 and a dinner menu at $35. Monday through Friday, 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., they’ll be serving lunch, offering options of an ensalada classica, mexibol, torta or a two-item plate, allowing customers to sample two of their tacos or quesadillas. They also have a starter of elote asado and agua frescas for beverage options.
Maple Block Meat Co. in Culver City will be serving lunch for $15 and dinner for $35. Lunch is served daily from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and includes options of chicken caesar salad, Santa Fe chicken salad, chicken caesar wrap or pulled pork sandwich, and comes with your choice of a non-alcoholic beverage.
Visit Sausal El Segundo for lunch at $15 and an expanded dinner menu at $45, but note that the Dine L.A. menu is available only for dine-in customers. Their street taco flight features one each of their most popular tacos: baja-style fried shrimp taco, beef brisket barbacoa taco and oak-fire grilled chicken taco. The meal comes with a side of your choosing of artisan green salad, caesar salad or Mexican rice and black bean casamiento.
The Cat and Fiddle in Hollywood will offer lunch for $15 and dinner for $45. While some in your party may decide to opt for the Dine L.A. menu, the entire table is not required to participate. Lunch is served every day between 12 p.m. and 4 p.m., and includes any of their savory pies, such as their shepherd’s pie, steak and Guinness pie, or curried chicken pie and chips.
